Introduction
The 20th International Symposium of the Protein Society of Thailand (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and participate in our symposium.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways:
- Registration Information: When you register for the symposium, we collect your title, full name, gender, email address, phone number, dietary preference, PST membership number, registration type, attendance mode, academic status, faculty, university, contact address, and billing information (name, address, city, state, postal code, country).
- Payment Documentation: We collect payment slip uploads and, where applicable, supporting evidence files (e.g. student card, employee card) required to verify your registration category.
- Authentication & Security Data: When you log in or register, we automatically record your IP address, browser user-agent string, login timestamp, and the outcome of each login attempt (success or failure). This information is stored in our login audit and activity logs.
- Session Information: Upon successful login, a secure session token is created and stored server-side. A session cookie is placed in your browser to link your requests to that token.
- Communication Information: When you contact us or use the in-platform messaging system, we may collect the content of your communications and any attachments.

- Email Verification (OTP): When enabled, new registrants must verify their email address using a 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) that expires within 10 minutes.
- Rate Limiting & Account Lockout: Failed login attempts are rate-limited to 10 attempts per 15 minutes per IP address. After 10 consecutive failed attempts, accounts are temporarily locked for 30 minutes. OTP requests are limited to 3 per 15-minute window.
